Permit Pricing and Fees
🗓️ Multi-Year Employee Permits
Eligibility Notice:
These permit types and prices are available to full-time ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø employees only. Employees must be benefits-eligible and have an active payroll record to qualify. Part-time employees, contractors, and affiliates should contact Parking & Transportation for alternative permit options.
Multi-year permits are prorated monthly on the 16th of each month from September through May. The prices listed reflect the cost of a full year.
These permits renew automatically each year. If you're on payroll deduction, your payments will continue into the new permit year unless you make a change.
When enrolling in payroll deduction, you select:
- One-time or monthly payments
- Pre-tax or post-tax deductions
These preferences will carry over automatically when your permit renews.

🎓 Student Permits
Student permits are required for any student parking on campus between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Permit types include garage, perimeter, remote, housing, and motorcycle options.
Housing permits are available only to students living in Miner Village, Miner Canyon, or Miner Heights. These permits are enforced 24/7 and valid only in assigned housing lots.
Permits are valid for one full academic year. If you need to cancel a permit, you may be eligible for a prorated refund through May 31. Contact parking@utep.edu for questions.

💲 Fees
Permit Replacement Fee: If your hangtag or physical permit is lost or stolen, a replacement may be issued for a $30.00 fee. Contact parking@utep.edu or visit the Parking Office to submit a replacement request.
